About Me

Who Am I?

My name is Wiebke and I’m pleased that you found your way to my website “STUDIO 80erfreak”. I was born in 1980, which means I’m a big fan — a “freak” — of the 80s, not just musically.

Some time ago I studied art and textile design to become a primary school teacher at the Carl von Ossietzky University in Oldenburg, in addition to German studies. During my studies I came into contact with photography and other aesthetic processes.

I am currently on a sabbatical and am using this to devote myself to my creative work in my studio, the “STUDIO 80erfreak”, in Düsseldorf. I like to photograph structures and surfaces in nature, some of which I further process. I also find drawings and acrylic collages exciting.
